Privacy Notice for Children
This is a plain-language summary written for users under 13 (“Children” or “Child”). It does not replace our Privacy Policy or Terms of Service, which our services are subject to.
What is this page about?
Hi! This page explains how we learn about you and what we do with that information when you use a Tolan, which is an AI-powered guide designed to help you in your everyday life. Before you can make a Tolan, your parent or guardian has to give permission, and we won't collect your information until they say that we can. If you ever want to know more, ask an adult to help you read our full Privacy Policy.
How do we collect your information?
When you sign up and use your Tolan, we collect some of your personal information, which is anything that can be used to identify you. Here are the kinds of information we may collect:
- Account details like your name, your phone number and your birthday.
- Interaction with your Tolan like your text and voice chats with your Tolan or the pictures and videos you choose to send them.
- Any messages that you send us, for instance if you contact our support team.
- Roughly where you are located when using the Tolan app or our websites (like your city or state).
- Information about the device you are using to access Tolan.
- How you use the app or our websites, like what you tap on and when you visit our website or app.
How do we use your information?
We use your information to set up your account, make your Tolan work, to chat about things you like, to keep you safe, to fix problems in the app or our websites, and to answer you when you ask us a question.
Who do we share your information with?
Sometimes we have to share your information with companies that work for us to help make sure our app is working, or if a law says that we must. If you join a family cottage, other members of your family will be able to see your name. We do not put your information out for everyone to see.
How long do you keep my information?
We only keep your information for as long as we need it, and then we delete it. This period depends on why we need the information.
What choices do you have about your information?
You have rights when we use your information. This means that you can ask us to tell you what information we have about you, ask for a copy of your information, and you can tell us to stop using this information or delete it. If the information is incorrect, you can tell us and we will fix this. You can do this by asking your parent or guardian to go to Settings > Family in the application, or by getting in contact with us at:

If you live in Europe, government agencies called supervisory authorities make sure companies like us follow rules on collecting and using your information. If you think the way we collect and use your information is not right, you can ask your parent or guardian to contact the agency in your country. The full Privacy Policy explains how to do this.
